Don’t count on this guy going to confession.
A masked man shot a retired Brooklyn pastor in the legs in broad daylight Wednesday before fleeing on a Citibike, witnesses and cops said.
The 60-year-old victim was crossing Spencer Street near Dekalb Avenue around 9:45 a.m. when a man in a blue hoodie pedaled up and shot him in both legs, according to the 911 caller and cops.
The wounded priest frantically called the superintendent of his Spencer Street apartment to tell him to call for help.
“He called me and said he was shot and to call the police,” Charles Taylor told The Post. “He said, ‘Call the police! Someone shot me!’”
Taylor ran down the street to help his friend, who he identified as Jimmy Geradeau, the former pastor at the Pentecostal House of Prayer on Tompkins Avenue.
“I came to help him,” he said. “He was seated on the stairs [and] I mopped up the blood.”
Taylor said Geradeau didn’t know much about his attacker other than that he was wearing a mask and took off on a blue Citibike.
Geradeau was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition, cops said.
Police are still searching for the masked pedal pusher.
