Family shaken after dad killed by car thief

The grieving Long Island family of a good Samaritan fatally struck by his own car said his death has left them reeling.

“It’s like I’m in the twilight zone,” said Shanelle Ramirez, 39.

Her father, Dionel Ramirez, was killed Friday when he stopped to collect food donations from a Bay Shore 7-Eleven and spotted a thief hopping into his running car.

A neighbor said Ramirez had a great sense of humor: “He always had Spanish conversations with my dog, who is a long haired Chihuahua.”
