Brooklyn chef convicted in wine-glass slashing of wife’s lover

A Brooklyn chef who slashed his next-door neighbor after he came home to find the younger man in bed with his wife was convicted of assault Monday and now faces up to 15 years behind bars.

A Brooklyn Supreme Court jury deliberated less than two hours before finding Diego Ramos, 27, guilty of slashing Omar Campos, 22, in the face and shoulder with a broken wine glass.

Ramos had returned to his Bushwick home to find his wife, Sandra, in bed with Campos.

“We drank wine and we had sex,” Campos testified at trial, describing what happened before he awoke to find Ramos attacking him with a wine glass. “I felt like I was going to die.”

Other testimony showed that Ramos was barred from the house because his wife had an order of protection against him and that he fled to Ecuador after the attack.

Ramos faces 3¹/₂ to 15 years behind bars when he’s sentenced Oct. 27.
