Terminator 2: Jets re-sign fullback John Conner

Are you ready for Terminator 2?

The Jets signed fullback John Conner on Tuesday to replace the injured Tommy Bohanon. Conner was a fifth-round draft choice of the Jets in 2010 and got a lot of attention on “Hard Knocks.” Jets coach Rex Ryan liked to point out Conner was his draft pick.

Bohanon broke his collarbone in Sunday’s loss to the Lions and will undergo surgery. The team placed him on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Conner rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 21 combined carries in 2010 and ’11. The Jets cut him in the middle of the 2012 season as he struggled to overcome a knee injury.

The Giants signed Conner last year after Henry Hynoski was injured. Conner was in training camp with the Giants this year, but was released before the season.
