Meet the new Marc by Marc Jacobs dream team

Designers Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley have been given carte blanche to “change everything” at Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Who better to revive the diffusion line than two London girls with street cred and design daring?

Hillier, 40, an accessories designer with a signature collection who has long consulted for Jacobs, was appointed creative director last May.

She immediately named her pal Bartley, 41, women’s design director, bringing her out of semiretirement. (Luella ready-to-wear was shuttered in 2009 due to recession woes.)

Their debut presentation in February earned rave reviews for its gutsy rather than cutesy motocross-manga-ninja vibe.

Here’s a look at a few of their favorite things.
