Jackie Kennedy designer’s wife gets wacky in court

The secret wife of the late Jacqueline Kennedy couturier Oleg Cassini was her own worst witness Friday, repeating the kind of wacky testimony that got her booted from her late husband’s $60 million estate.

The hearing was former model Marianne Nestor Cassini’s last chance to win back her position as executor of the fashion fortune, a role that entitles her to hefty fees and allows her to control payments to others named in the will.

Instead Nestor, who walked backward into the courtroom to avoid being photographed by the press, was reprimanded by the judge for accusing her stepdaughter Christina Cassini of trying to kill her sister.

“Daria Cassini was put to death by her sister on September 11, 2001. I was not notified until 5 o’clock the next day,” Nestor claimed.

Daria was born severely disabled and needed 24-hour medical care.

“Just try to relax,” Nassau County Surrogate’s Court Judge Edward McCarty lectured the wound-up widow.

Nestor has been at war with Christina, Oleg’s daughter from his second marriage, since Christina challenged her father’s last will in 2007 and won 25 percent of his fortune. Oleg, who created Jackie O’s iconic look, died in 2006 at age 92.

Nestor’s testimony continues next week.
