When the US lost to Canada 1-0 in Friday’s men’s hockey semifinal, more was lost than a shot at Olympic gold: now the country is stuck with Bieber too.
At least that’s what a cheeky billboard in Skokie, Illinois is claiming.

The electronic sign shows the pop star, who was born in Canada, between US player Patrick Kane and Canada’s Justin Toews. Underneath is the message: “LOSER KEEPS BIEBER.”
While this is great news for the singer’s sizable American fan base, those who don’t belong to this group need not fret; there’s no proof that the sign is legally binding.
Today’s game, a matchup between the two (US) and three seeds (Canada) in the Olympic hockey tournament, was decided by a second period goal by our neighbor to the north’s Jamie Benn.
