Arts network Ovation back on Time Warner

Arts network Ovation is getting a second chance to impress Time Warner Cable.

The niche network, which was booted off TWC last Jan. 1, will return exactly a year later with a beefed up programming schedule — the reason it was dropped in the first place.

Ovation has now committed to carrying 250 hours of new and original programming each year by 2015 — and to pump that number up to 300 hours (of programming) each subsequent year.

Of late, Ovation has aired “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” — starring A-listers Daniel Radcliffe (“Harry Potter”) and Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) and has announced a talk show to be hosted by actor James Franco. It’s also opened its own studio.
