The Who: Solange Knowles, dressed head to toe in the label, stood out in a sea of editors, bloggers and photographers.
The What: Stripes, floral patterns and pleats were all markings of this vibrantly-hued collection, which also featured Helgason’s footwear collaboration with Aldo Rise. Creased pants were paired with collard shirts, and color-blocked platforms matched full skirts. A quirky balloon dog print – which read very Jeff Koons – adorned numerous separates. The biggest attention grabber was a sweatshirt featuring two such canines in a risqué position. (Hint: it starts with “doggy.”)
The Highlight: A gradient white skirt; solid up top and increasingly sheer from mid-thigh to mid-calf.
The Takeaway: A refreshing reminder that amid all the buttoned-up looks out there, lots of fashion is still fun.
