Dunkin’ Donuts employee pistol-whipped for getting woman’s coffee order wrong

This couple runs on Dunkin’ — and they take it very seriously.

A Dunkin’ Donuts employee was beaten up and pistol-whipped Tuesday for getting a woman’s order wrong – she wanted a vanilla iced coffee and he gave her caramel, according to the Miami Herald.

Jeffrey Wright, 27, and his wife, Alexis Longo, 22, went through the restaurant’s drive-thru and placed their order around lunch time. When the couple found out the order was incorrect, they parked their car and entered the establishment, asking to speak to the manager.

Before the manager could come out, an argument broke out between Wright, Longo and the employee who made the order, Rajay Hall, NBC reported.

“The girl came in,” Hall said. “She was getting upset. She was screaming at me, just like cursing at me.”

Hall said he would redo the order and make it up to them.

“I made a mistake, I’ll do everything I can to fill that mistake,” he said. “I asked them, what do they want in the coffee?”

Apparently, Hall’s attempt to make things right didn’t work. Longo took a swing at him and then Wright jumped in as a huge fight erupted near the front door, knocking over a sign on the window.

Customers tried to break up the fight and were almost successful – until Wright pulled out a 9mm handgun and started pistol-whipping Hall in the head.

Police arrived soon after and arrested Longo and Wright. He is being charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and she is charged with simple battery.

Wright is a security guard and legally allowed to carry a concealed weapon.
