Deron Williams made a funny entrance into the new world of Instagram videos Tuesday.
Williams, who turned 29 on Wednesday, opens the video saying, “You see this Knick fan over here, man?” as the camera pans over to a young boy dribbling a ball wearing a Patrick Ewing jersey.
Williams then walks away, only to pop back into the picture and playfully shove the boy to the ground.
While this is simply a playful (and funny) video, the rivalry between the Nets and Knicks should only increase in intensity next season, when the two teams will both be almost unanimously projected – barring an unforeseen development – to finish 1-2 in some order in the Atlantic Division and after Jason Kidd left the Knicks and retired after a brilliant 19-year career – only to be hired as the Nets head coach a little over a week later.
