LI principal arrested, accused of having sex with teen he met online

Police say a Long Island principal is accused of having sex with a teenager he met online.

Newsday says Nassau County police have arrested John O’Mard, the principal at J.W. Dodd Middle School in Freeport.

He was awaiting arraignment Wednesday on four counts of third-degree criminal sexual act.

It’s alleged that he arranged to meet the 16-year-old in September, drove the boy to his Freeport home, and engaged in sex acts.

Information on the defendant’s attorney was not immediately available.
