There was no mention of Honey Nut Cheerios, just laughter at Craig Sager’s suit.
Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and Celtics star Kevin Garnett were on camera together during All-Star practice in Houston and there was no sign of animosity. Instead, the two Eastern Conference All-Star starters combined to make fun of the silly attire that the TNT sideline reporter routinely wears.
The turquoise-clad Sager was asking Anthony about the incident he and Garnett had that erupted during a Celtics’ win at the Garden on Jan. 7. In that Boston victory, Anthony and Garnett were talking heatedly on the court and Anthony tried to confront him outside Boston’s locker room and again next to the team bus. Garnett reportedly insulted Anthony’s wife, La La, with a reference to the cereal.
Saturday, Anthony called Garnett over after Sager brought up the disagreement.
“You would come here with that outfit on and ask that kind of question,” Garnett said as he and Anthony laughed together throughout.
