Koz ‘parole’ suit

The pig wants out of the pokey.

Disgraced former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski sued the state Parole Board yesterday, saying its decision to deny him parole this year was “irrational.”

Kozlowski, 65, was sentenced to 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison in 2005 for securities frauds.

Kozlowksi was put in a work-release program in January of this year, toiling “as an office clerk for a company that makes computer software” and living in “a New York City apartment,” the filing says. He spends two nights of the week in lockup.

Since January, his petition says, “Mr. Kozlowski has lived a law-abiding life” and he’d continue to do so if given another chance. It seeks a new parole hearing.

A Parole Board rep declined to comment.
