Humor in the heat

For those ready to go face-to-face with the heat wave tonight, there are laughs to be had in Central Park. Comedy Central is hosting “Indecision in the Park,” a free live stand-up show at Central Park’s SummerStage. John Hodgman, a correspondent for “The Daily Show with John Stewart” and also the PC guy from those Apple commercials, is hosting. He will be joined by “Daily Show” contributors Wyatt Cenac, Al Madrigal and John Oliver, along with contributor Kristen Schaal, executive producer Rory Albanese and co-executive producer Adam Lowitt. Gates open at 7 tonight, and the show starts at 8. Enter at Fifth Avenue and 69th Street.

For those unwilling to leave their air-conditioned living rooms tonight, Comedy Central is hosting a second show Sunday night at 7 in Brooklyn’s Red Hook Park. That one, “Comedy Central Live Presents: Hannibal Buress,” will be hosted by stand-up comedian Buress. He will be joined by comedians Kevin Barnett and Josh Rabinowitz.
