WATCH: Jimmy Fallon shows off Tim Tebow’s Madden NFL ‘13 potential

A sign of things to come – or just a digital fantasy?

Jimmy Fallon showed off new Jets QB Tim Tebow’s star power during a Madden NFL ’13 demo on last night’s episode of “Late Night,” playing the video game against Tebow’s teammate, Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Both Fallon and Revis played as the Jets, with the football star holding the ball first. It was fourth down, so Revis punted into the end zone for a touchback.

Time for Tebow – the starting QB on Fallon’s team. Digital Tim, clad in white and green, jogged onto the field, hope and suspense in pixellated form.

“Here we go,” Fallon said, falling to a knee to mimic Tebow’s oft-copied stance. “This is big-time.”

Under center. The snap. Fake handoff. Fallon directed mini-Tebow right, the QB backpedaling to avoid oncoming defenders.

“Which one’s B?” Fallon asked, pressing a button, any button, to get rid of the ball. The football sailed past two defenders and into the hands of Chaz Schilens (seven real-life career touchdowns), who raced into the end zone for an 80-yard TD.

“Oh!” Fallon yelled, video game Schilens danced with ‘teammates,’ and slow-motion of Tebow’s clunky toss replayed on the screen – maybe something for Jets fans to look forward to, or maybe just a Madden mirage.

Josh Looman, who works for EA Sports, was also on hand for the segment.
