Kathy does charlie

Now this ought to be interesting. If you were going to cast someone to play Charlie Harper’s ghost on “Two and a Half Men,” wouldn’t you cast a dark-haired guy in his 40s? Not Chuck Lorre. In the episode called “Why We Gave Up on Women,” he cast Kathy Bates, star of NBC’s “Harry’s Law” and an Oscar winner in a previous life. Charlie’s ghost appears after Alan (Jon Cryer) suffers a mild heart attack and he pays his brother a visit in the hospital. Co-starring Ashton Kutcher and Angus T. Jones.

TWO AND A HALF MEN

Monday, 9 p.m., CBS

Good versus evil

August (Eion Bailey) promises to enlighten Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and take her on a journey that will show her how she can beat Regina (Lana Parrilla), and possibly take custody of Henry; and with Mary Margaret returning to work, Regina puts the moves on David. Meanwhile, in the fairy-tale land that was, with the Evil Queen’s curse about to strike, Geppetto (Tony Amendola) agrees to a plan that will save Snow White and Prince Charming’s daughter, but with a proviso that could save his own son.

ONCE UPON A TIME

Today, 8 p.m., ABC

Lunatic ‘Fringe’

You may not understand half of what is referenced in the final three weeks of this season, but what do you need to know to enjoy the final installments? Lovable, eccentric genius Walter (John Noble) wreaked havoc on an alternate universe when the grief-stricken scientist kidnapped his dead son, Peter (Joshua Jackson), and now there’s a question of whether the dueling realities can co-exist. This week, Walter revisits his painful past while the Fringe team faces off against David Robert Jones to save the world.

FRINGE

Friday, 9 p.m., Fox

Take this ‘Wife,’ please

The third-season finale of “The Good Wife” finds Will (Josh Charles) and Diane (Christine Baranski) scramble when rivals Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) and Patti Nyholm (Martha Plimpton) team up to bankrupt Lockhart and Gardner. Also, the ever prim Alicia (Julianna Margulies) faces conflicted feelings — again? — regarding her relationship with Peter (Oh God, just divorce him already! He slept with prostitutes). And Kalinda’s (Archie Panjabi) past (which one?) catches up to her.

THE GOOD WIFE

Today, 9 p.m., CBS

‘Desperate’ hours

Now that Mike is dead, Susan (Teri Hatcher) attempts to build a car for MJ’s father-and-son school soapbox derby; Bree’s attorney, Trip (Scott Bakula), learns of her previous drunken sexual spree and needs her to come clean about it in order to help strengthen her case; Lynette (Felicity Huffman) tries to cause some negative friction between Tom (Doug Savant) and his girlfriend, Jane, by flirting with his boss and getting him to pile more work on her estranged husband; Gaby (Eva Longoria) is furious with Carlos when he tries to poach one of her personal-shopper clients (Doris Roberts) and talk her into helping with his newly formed charity organization; and Renee (Vanessa Wiliams) discovers that Ben is keeping a secret from her.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

Today, 9 p.m., ABC

Zombies in the Big Apple

When Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) investigate the murder of a man whose body has human bite marks, wild theories abound. But none compare to what one witness reports: a zombie attack. Mounting evidence suggests an undead assailant was responsible and the team plunges into New York’s zombie subculture to bring him in — undead or alive.
