Long Island cops will resume searching for missing hooker Shannan Gilbert after receiving information yesterday that she could be buried near a Long Island dumping ground that has already turned up 10 corpses.
Units will comb the dense underbrush off Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach after detectives told Suffolk Police Commissioner Richard Dormer that Gilbert, 24, could be buried there.
Dormer believes that a single slayer murdered the eight women, one toddler and one cross-dresing man whose bodies were found near Gilgo Beach, but has argued that Gilbert’s disappearance is unrelated to the carnage.
