Five people were injured in the third-floor blaze at 613 President Street around 12:15 this afternoon, with an adult in his 20s and the infant listed in critical condition, according to the FDNY.

Both the severely injured adult and infant were in cardiac arrest when rescue crews arrived, but were resuscitated before being transferred to an area hospital, FDNY official said.

At least one occupant jumped from a front-facing window and smacked into the first floor awning leaving it stained with blood.

Fire officials believe the blaze started in the rear of the apartment.
