Drama mama

Affairs of the heart fill the dramas this week:

• “Bones” (Thursday, 9 p.m., Fox) After last season’s finale bombshell that Brennan is preggers (to accommodate portrayer Emily Deschanel’s real-life pregnancy), you might expect there to be the exploration of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan’s complicated feelings and the development of an actual relationship. Yeah, they skip over all that and jump right into Booth and Brennan domesticity, which Mama thinks cheats all of us who have been watching the will-they-or-won’t-they saga play out for six seasons. And with two babies in the mix now, this show is looking more like “Parenthood” than “CSI.”

• “Once Upon a Time” (Sunday, 8 p.m., ABC) The split personality of this show—half in the fairy-tale world, half in the “real” world—creates an unhealthy codependent relationship. The only reason we accept Mayor Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) ridiculously heartless treatment of everyone in town is because we know she’s the Evil Queen from the story book, but the queen would be much more effective as a character if she had a realistic motivation. Both stories could be strong enough to stand on their own — especially this week’s version of SnowWhite (Ginnifer Goodwin) meeting Prince Charming (Josh Dallas)—but the showneeds more than fairy dust to makeMama a believer.

• “Fringe” (Friday, 9 p.m., Fox) Delaying the parallel universe’s return (due to Game 7 of the World Series) has meant another agonizing week of wondering what’s going to happen now that Peter (Joshua Jackson) has risen from the … lake. Olivia (Anna Torv) doesn’t recognize him, which puts a kink in their non-relationship. And what does Peter’s return mean for Olivia’s budding non-relationship with the adorable Lincoln (Seth Gabel)?

• “The Good Wife” (Sunday, 9 p.m., CBS) The Peter (Chris Noth) vs. Will (Josh Charles) showdown has been in the making ever since Will made it with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) at the end of last season. Peter’s decision to dig into Will’s past may finally force Alicia to decide if she really wants a futurewith her boss/lover.

• “Sons of Anarchy” (Tuesday, 10 p.m., FX) Nothing like putting a hit on your old lady’s daughter-in-law to ruin a great love affair. Clay (Ron Perlman) could grow a twirlable mustache and still be less villainous — the future does not look bright for him.
