‘Pie-bye’ to toppling pizza place

The city plans to topple the “leaning tower of pizza.”

Building inspectors this week ordered the demolition of the wayward Williamsburg building, which until getting shuttered earlier this month was home to acclaimed Motorino Pizza.

The city issued the “emergency declaration” to demolish due to owner and landlord Rosa Rivera’s continued neglect of the three-story Graham Avenue building, and a lean that recently increased from 6 to 16 inches, officials said.

Rivera could not be reached for comment.

Motorino owner Matthieu Palombino had hoped the restaurant could stay at 319 Graham Ave., but now he’s looking to move.

“I need to put this pizzeria in a better place, a concrete and brick place,” he said.
