Paramus beats Great Kills at LLWS

Frank Cambria rolled the dice by not using his ace, and it almost turned into a gigantic success.

But after Great Kills American’s 6-2 loss to Paramus (N.J.) last night at Breen Field in Bristol, Conn., the 11-and 12-year-olds from Staten Island will need help to get into the Little League Mid-Atlantic regional championship round. Paramus (2-2) is in with the victory.

If undefeated Keystone (Pa.) defeats 1-2 Conococheague (Md.) this morning, GKA (1-3) will advance to tomorrow’s semifinals by virtue of its head-to-head win over Conococheague.

If the Maryland team wins, New York’s run is over.
