Feel fab for $50

Great Jones Spa includes access to its Water Lounge as part of its Spa Week deal. (Tamara Beckwith)

Did this winter leave you more than a little tense — and in need of some rejuvenation? You’re in luck. Kicking off this Monday and lasting through April 17, more than 80 spas in the city will be offering treatments as part of Spa Week. Services range from basic facials to laser hair removal — and they’re all just $50 each. If you’re looking for an experience that’s a bit out of the ordinary, we’ve compiled a list of our top recommendations for some serious relaxation. For a list of participating spas, and to book an appointment, visit spaweek.com.

Most luxurious

Spa Martier, 1014 Second Ave., 646-781-9758

The hourlong “24kt Gold Facial” doesn’t involve jewelry — but yes, the precious metal is used. Gold foil is painted onto your face to remove impurities and improve elasticity, and a serum with gold flakes is applied. The fancy treatment ends with a moisturizer containing platinum.

For a work break

Red Door Spa, 691 Fifth Ave., 212-546-0200

The 50-minute Stress Melter starts with a dry exfoliation, which is followed by a generous application of lavender oil. Let it all seep in while you’re wrapped in a foil cocoon and given a scalp massage before a hot towel removes excess oil.

Battle wrinkles

Eastern Image Day Spa, 1169 Second Ave., 212-308-2308

If you’re looking to reverse signs of aging, this spot has two 75-minute treatments dedicated to making you look more youthful. Depending on your skin type, choose a micro-epidermabrasion session or an ultrasonic facial. Too timid to futz with your face? The spa’s also offering a 60- minute green-tea spa pedicure that includes a mud mask and a bath soak for your feet.

Good for groups

Great Jones Spa, 29 Great Jones St., 212-505-3185

Get a gaggle of girlfriends together and spend the afternoon in the Water Lounge, this spa’s trademark. (You usually have to spend $100 on a treatment to gain access to the Jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms and plunge pools, but this week it’s included with your treatment.) In addition to hanging out in the lounge, get an hourlong mani/pedi (all the products are organic), or have your hair washed and blown out in the salon. Mira, a Great Jones Spa aesthetician, says: “A lot of pregnant women come here because all of our products are certified organic and vegan — even our nail polish remover doesn’t contain acetone.”

Best savings

Susan Ciminelli, 120 E. 56th St., 212-750-4441

If you want to stay clothed and come out beautified, this service is for you. Get a deep-conditioning hair treatment, which normally starts at $150, and a blowout, a service that begins at $75, for just $50 — a total savings of $175!

Most active
Erika Bloom Pilates, 795 Madison Ave., 212-288-3410

At this second-floor studio, pick a private pilates session or a 60-minute Thai yoga massage. The “massage” takes place on a mat, where an instructor uses her weight to aid yoga poses and apply pressure to shiatsu points.

Most exotic

Trump Soho, 246 Spring St., 212-842-5505

Escape to India (in your mind) at the Trump Soho spa, where a scalp massage using herbal-infused oil nourishes hair roots and conditions the scalp. The 50-minute Shirodhara treatment calms the mind and balances the nervous system — seven stories above the bustling streets of SoHo.

For beach mavens

Tribeca Beauty Spa, 8 Harrison St., 212-343-2376

Help yourself to a pre-bikini season Brazilian wax and 50-minute pedicure at TriBeCa Beauty Spa. The honey-wax treatment usually runs $60, and the signature TriBeCa pedicure is typically $35. You’ll save $45 — a substantial amount during spring cleaning season!
