The heartsick gunman who left five people wounded in a crazed Jan. 14 shooting outside of Bishop Loughlin HS was captured on Saturday, cops said.
Keenen Upson, a 20-year-old resident of Walt Whitman Houses, is allegedly the man who opened fire on four teenage boys and a teenager girl leaving a basketball game at the Clermont Avenue school at 9:58 pm — in what police described as a long-simmering feud over a girl.
Upson’s victims were on Greene Avenue walking toward Vanderbilt Avenue when he approached the group and opened fire, aiming at their lower extremities, police said.
Three teens suffered gunshot wounds to their feet. One 19-year-old was hit in the thigh and buttocks while another 19-year-old suffered a graze wound to the arm.
Police said that neither Upson nor his victims attended Bishop Loughlin or Christ the King HS in Queens — the schools whose cagers were squaring off that night.
Sources said Upson knew his victims would be at the game and went to the school to confront them about his paramour. It remained unclear, however, if the female victim involved in the shooting was the woman who inadvertently sparked the bloodshed.
Attempts to reach Upson’s attorney on Sunday afternoon were unsuccessful.
