Rep. Anthony Weiner yesterday warned holiday shoppers of high interest rates on store credit cards.
Weiner (D-Queens/Brooklyn) said Radio Shack, Best Buy, Staples, Home Depot and Sears cards had the highest interest rates among 35 retailers he surveyed.
Radio Shack’s rate is 28.99 percent — almost double the average, Weiner said.
Best Buy and Staples charge 27.99 percent, Home Depot 25.99 and Sears 25.24, he said.
“When it comes to store credit cards, shoppers should leave home without them,” Weiner said.
