Vuvuzela hater goes bonkers on honkers

It was only a matter of time.

An American working for the US Army in Germany threatened to chop off his neighbors’ heads with an ax over their nonstop blaring of World Cup vuvuzela horns.

The unnamed civilian employee, described only as a 45-year-old in the Bavarian city of Weiden, made the threat Thursday during the heated Netherlands-Cameroon World Cup match.

The man, allegedly drunk, was so fed up with the constant honking of vuvuzelas that he walked over to the neighbors’ house and screamed “I will kill you!” the German newspaper Bild reported.

He was arrested by German cops and turned over to US military police.

He hasn’t been charged yet, but he could face fines and jail time for allegedly making the threat and a “slander” charge for calling his neighbors names.

Separately, German media reported that a police officer in North Rhine-Westphalia was nearly beaten to death by a drunken soccer fan armed with a plastic vuvuzela.
