Battle clothes

It’s the fashion equivalent of flipping someone the bird.

Back when she was a student at Convent of the Sacred Heart, Lady Gaga was “bullied” by mean girls and teachers who told her she’d never be famous. So when she returned to her alma mater for her sister’s graduation this week, she refused to let them forget who had won.

Wearing sheer nude pants with white lace accents and an oversized beekeeper hat with a black veil to hide her Poker Face, Gaga made a statement: “Eat your heart out, Sacred Heart. Look at me now!”

PHOTOS: REVENGE DRESSING

Meet the revenge outfit: the tried and tested way to tell your ex, your former teacher or the world that you’re back. And you’re on top.

Princess Diana wore her famous “divorce dress” after officially splitting from Prince Charles, Jennifer Aniston took it all off for Vanity Fair post-Pitt-split (inset) and Sandra Bullock sported a teeny tiny sequined mini to an awards show last weekend, her first public appearance since she found out her husband liked tattoos, Hitler and other women more than she may have realized.

Need a revenge dress? Here’s what you need to know:

1. Show more skin. On top, on the bottom, or just use sheer fabric all over — it doesn’t matter. Simply make sure you give them an eyeful of what they’re missing.

2. Land a magazine cover. Nothing says “I’m happy. I’m hot. I’m totally over Brad” like a Vanity Fair cover shot.

3. The tighter, the better. Forsake comfort for some curve-hugging couture. Remember: This is war.
