A man who spent 19 years in jail for a fatal DWI wreck was busted a month after being freed — for a DWI wreck.

Doug Gardner, 54, was caught in Vermont after he crashed a car he allegedly had stolen. He had previously been convicted of DWI in 1976, 1977, 1983, 1985 (twice), 1989 and 1991.

Man, times are tough.

A Georgia county discovered that it paid 180 workers thousands of dollars more than they were owed back in 1994 — and now wants the money back.

In all, the employees received an extra $39,000 due to a one-time anomaly when the county adjusted their payroll cycle. They can now either pay the extra in cash or give up vacation time.

A storm in Brownsville, Texas, knocked down a tree that some believed had the image of the Virgin Mary on its bark.
