A Tennessee man who stole cases of beer from a gas station returned a few minutes later to exchange them because they were warm.

The clerk told cops she was out back restocking and discovered the cases missing when she came back up front.

The man returned a few minutes later and when the suspicious woman asked if he had paid for the beer, he fled.

An Englishman tagged with the mundane moniker Richard Smith has legally changed his name to “Stormhammer Deathclaw Firebrand.”

The former Mr. Smith, known to friends as “Spiff,” said he was unhappy with such a plain name and decided to spice things up.
