Surveillance video shows Times Square bomber buying fireworks

This chilling video shows Times Square terrorist Faisal Shahzad buying the fireworks he allegedly used to build the bomb he drove into the heart of Big Apple in a failed jihadist attack.

Shahzad, 30, went shopping at the Phantom Fireworks Showroom in Matamoras, Pa. on March 8 where he spent $95.28 to buy 23 kinds of fireworks he hoped would set off the cruel fuel bomb he fashioned and kill hundreds of theater-goers on Saturday night.

“We are very disappointed this coward would use Phantom Fireworks product intending to cause harm to Americans,” the company said in a press release. “That is the opposite of what fireworks mean to the people of the United States.”

In the video, Shahzad is seen driving up to the superstore in a black SUV, and then showing identification to enter the store, as is required by Pennsylvania law. He then was seen wandering around the aisles and purchasing what he intended to be a deadly trigger device.

The company said that federal law restricts the amount of explosive material in fireworks to such a small level that they could never be used to detonate anything.

“We are thankful there was no injury or damage in this event,” the company said.
