AG Cuomo speaks at women’s fundraiser

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo made a stop in a busy governmental day to speak at a women’s fundraiser for his campaign coffers headlined by actress Marcia Gay Harden and former VP nominee Geraldine Ferraro.

Cuomo has yet to announce his campaign for governor, but he raked in another $250,000 to pad his coffers at the event at the Hilton New York.

More than 600 people attended, and Harden – of “Mystic River” fame, among other flicks – gave brief remarks.

One attendee said Cuomo himself spoke about women’s issues, and talked about the number of female staffers in his office, among other points.

Cuomo has raised $16 million so far for his campaign-to-be-named-later, an impressive haul that will be difficult to compete against.
