George Demos, the former SEC attorney who worked on the Bernie Madoff case and is now running for congress in the crowded GOP field to take on Suffolk County Rep. Tim Bishop, is out with fundraising numbers showing he has taken in $428,000 so far.
For the quarter, Demos took in $125,000, and has raised from over 600 total donors, his team said.
He now has $305,000 in cash on hand.
Demos, who has ties to both Patakiland and Romneyland, is in the field populated by Christopher Cox, the son of the GOP state chairman, and businessman Randy Altschuler, a businessman who’s also the cash-on-hand leader.
