FOX, NBC among stations linking up for cell phone content

FOX and NBC will join with ten other major media companies to share print and video content on mobile devices, the companies announced Tuesday.
The programming will eventually reach nearly 150 million U.S. residents. It will include live and on-demand video, the companies said in a statement.
In addition to FOX and NBC, the members of the joint venture are Belo Corp., Cox Media Group, E.W. Scripps Co., Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst Television Inc., ION Television, Media General Inc., Meredith Corp., Post-Newsweek Stations Inc. and Raycom Media.
FOX is owned by News Corp., which also owns The Post and NewsCore.
