Rahm Emanuel to raise cash for Bishop

First Chuck, then Rahm.

Per The Post’s Sally Goldenberg, the White House chief of staff will be lending a fundraising hand to Suffolk Rep. Tim Bishop next week, ten days after Sen. Charles Schumer boosted the congressman – who’s got seven people vying for the right to take him on in November as the GOP nominee.

Emanuel and members of the state’s congressional delegation will help boost Bishop’s coffers at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South on April 19, according to an invite.

Among the challengers to Bishop on the GOP side are Randy Altschuler, George Demos – and, perhaps best known name-wise, Christopher Cox, the recently engaged son of the state GOP chairman, who moved to the district to run.
