Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael Lohan was rushed to New York hospital Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, Radar Online reported.
Mr Lohan’s girlfriend Kate Major said he was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Manhasset with chest pains. Tests revealed he had suffered a minor heart attack, she said.
“He was short of breath all day,” she told RadarOnline.com. “His blood pressure skyrocketed.”
It is the second time Mr Lohan has been rushed to hospital with chest pains. The first time was just before he was scheduled to box in the Celebrity Boxing Federation.
Mr Lohan, 49, is in the emergency room but is in good spirits and talking, Major said.
“Michael was in Miami. We just flew back to New York last night,” she said. “But he didn’t feel well all day today.”
He was scheduled for surgery Friday to unclog arteries.
The news follows reports of the ongoing public feud between Mr Lohan, his daughter Lindsay and his ex-wife Dina, the mother of his four children.
Lindsay Lohan, star of Mean Girls and Herbie Fully Loaded, is said to have an estranged relationship with her father.
