The annual New Directors/New Films festival, sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, opens March 24 with the documentary “Bill Cunningham New York,” which follows New York Times fashion photographer on assignments. Richard Press is the director. The fest closes April 4 with “I Killed My Mother,” by Canadian director Xavier Dolan. In all, 27 features and 11 shorts from 20 nations will unreel.
