Beer makes bones stronger: study

Drinking beer can help prevent weak bones, according to a new study reported in Monday’s edition of The Sun.

The brew is a rich source of dietary silicon, which can cut the chances of diseases like osteoporosis.

Beers with malted barley and hops are better as they have more silicon that those made from wheat, University of California scientists found.

The researchers investigated the brewing process of 100 different beers and their contents.
