Ex cop jailed for crack link

A former NYPD sergeant was sentenced to six months in jail yesterday for giving a crack dealer inside information.

Roosevelt Green pleaded guilty last year to federal charges he lied to the Drug Enforcement Administration about his relationship with the Long Island dealer.

Green originally denied using an NYPD computer while on duty to access license-plate information for the dealer, who suspected he was being followed by law enforcement.

Prosecutors later determined that Green, who has since quit the NYPD, demanded a warmup suit and a pair of sneakers in exchange for the information.

The dealer and 14 co-defendants are awaiting sentencing on various drug charges.
