Time is $ for Conan

Conan O’Brien could fly away from the Peacock network with $80 million if his show is bounced from its time slot, according to a report.

NBC would be in breach of contract with the late night funnyman in this case even if the show retains the “Tonight Show” title, TMZ.com said.

There has been strong speculation that Jay Leno’s show would be moved to 11:35 p.m., pushing O’Brien back to at least 12 a.m.

If this happened O’Brien would be able to leave and collect the remaining $80 million owed to him over the next four years, the gossip site said.

And if he chose to go to another network, like FOX or ABC and his new deal paid him less than $20 million a year, then NBC would owe him the balance from the new contract, TMZ reported.
