Disney eyes Times Square store

Walt Disney Co. will open an interactive store in New York’s Times Square this year to spur retail sales after profit declined at its theme parks and film studio.

The store will feature displays including an interactive Disney Princess castle and a new children’s theater, the Burbank, California-based company said.

Disney said it plans to transform its more than 300 stores in the US and Europe over the next five years to feature the new design, according to the statement.
