2 dead, 1 wounded in Louisiana office shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. — Authorities have arrested a gunman who allegedly shot and killed two people and wounded a third at a construction company’s office in Baton Rouge.

A spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office says the suspect in Wednesday’s shooting is believed to be a former employee of Grady Crawford Construction Co. and the victims are all company employees.

The sheriff’s spokeswoman, Casey Rayborn Hicks, says a foreman at the office tackled and disarmed the suspect as he left the building.

Hicks says two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third had injuries that were considered life-threatening. She wouldn’t identify the suspect and said the victims’ identities were being withheld pending notification of relatives.
