Long ‘Glee’ wait

It’ll be a cold winter for “Glee” fans.

The freshman favorite, which airs its fall finale Dec. 9, won’t return to the schedule until April 13 as part of Fox’s midseason lineup.

“Glee” is making way for juggernaut “American Idol,” which returns with a two-night season premiere Jan. 12 and 13.

A new series, “Our Little Genius” — a reality series featuring gifted kids — will follow “Idol” on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.

“Glee” will follow “Idol” on Tuesdays when it returns in April.

Fox also announced that “24,” set this season in New York City, will return Jan. 17 with a special two-hour episode following the series premiere of “Human Target.” “24” then moves into its regular timeslot Jan. 18.

Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” returns Jan. 29.

Other new series premieres include “Past Life” (Feb. 11) and “Sons of Tucson” (March 14), a sitcom about three brothers who hire someone to play their dad when their real father goes to prison.
