Agenda: October 11-17

DONATE TO THIS: Head to the Brooklyn Lyceum on Thursday for “Clowns Without Borders Gala: Black Tie, Red Noses,” a bash to benefit clowns. Yes, clowns — but special, important, nonfrightening ones who go into war-torn or natural-disaster-ravaged places to cheer up traumatized children. Tickets for the 8 p.m.-to-midnight party start at $25; brooklynlyceum.com

LISTEN TO THIS: On Monday, Broadway icons such as Tovah Feldshuh and Rita Wolf read from “Hell Is Other Parents,” a collection of child-rearing essays written by Deborah Copaken Kogan. 8 p.m. at the Westside Theatre, tickets are $35, benefitting Planned Parenthood.

CELEBRATE THIS: Celebrate 10 years of super-sweaty yoga in NYC on Thursday with “Broadway Meets Bikram” from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Times Square Arts Center. Join Bikram Yoga NYC founders Donna Rubin and Jennifer Lobo, along with other citywide yogis, for some razzle-dazzle cabaret, live bands, savory food, an oxygen bar and more. Proceeds from the $40 ticket price will benefit Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Foundation.

GO TO THIS: The Big Apple Comic-Con takes over Pier 94 (at 55th Street) Friday, Saturday and next Sunday with Linda “Terminator” Hamilton and William “Captain James T. Kirk” Shatner just two of the many special guests appearing at the three-day fantastical fete. Tickets are $25 per day (or $45 for the weekend) at bigapplecon.com.

■ As “a brand-new force in the independent film, art and music scene,” the Royal Flush Festival promises to cover a lot of ground during its four-day run, which kicks off Thursday at Hiro Ballroom. The 10 p.m. party launches a slew of film premieres, super-hip art openings and upcoming performances from likes of Kid Savant and former Hole guitarist Melissa Auf der Maur. For schedule and tickets, go to royalflushfestival.com.

SHOP THIS: Artisans, designers and fellow creative types will sell handmade crafts of all kinds — from jewelry and artwork to “upcycled” handbags and throw pillows, Saturday in Chelsea (21st Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; thenewnewny.com/CraftsInChelsea.html

HEAR THIS: The world’s premiere Bob Dylan cover band, Highway 61 Revisited, will be sonically reproducing the genius of the “Mr. Tambourine Man” folk-rocker at City Winery, tonight at 8 p.m., 155 Varick Street, tickets are $25; citywinery.com.

EAT THIS: Only New Yorkers know how to glamorize the lowly hot dog! Case in point: Tuesday, at Lily’s Restaurant in the Roger Smith Hotel, gourmand Bruce Kraig will lead foodies in a sampling of fine haute dogs and sausages from Chicago, New York, Italy and the Hudson Valley. The delicious-dog fun runs from 7 to 9 p.m., and tickets are $25 at hotdogs.eventbrite.com.

HEAR THIS: Punk-rock treasure Patti Smith will rock the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a tribute entitled “A Salute to Robert Frank, Artist and Friend.” Tickets are $40 at metmuseum.org.

■ Lenny Kravitz headlines a run at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza, tonight, tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $88.

DO THIS: Could the High Line be any cooler? Apparently, yes, it can. Friends of the High Line have joined forces with the Amateur Astronomers Association to host celestial instruction and views of the stars through sophisticated telescopes in an event series called “Astronomy on the High Line.” Join fellow stargazers on the sundeck near the 16th Street stairway every Tuesday in October and November from sunset until 9:30 p.m.; thehighline.org
