Rams roll to victory over ODU

Xavier Martin rushed for 187 yards on 25 carries and scored on a 3-yard run with 1:59 remaining and Fordham (1-3) rolled for 687 yards of total offense to beat Old Dominion (2-3), 34-29, in The Bronx yesterday.

John Skelton went 28-for-42 for 402 yards and two touchdowns and Daryl Whiting added 101 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Rams.

Columbia 38, Princeton 0

In Princeton, M.A. Olawale threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, leading Columbia (2-1, 1-0 Ivy League) to a rout of Princeton (1-2, 0-1).

Olawale threw two second-half TD passes as the Lions, who led 9-0 at halftime, broke the game open.

Stony Brook 52, Presbyt. 14

In Stony Brook, Michael Coulter ran for a touchdown and threw two TD passes to Donald Porter, who finished with 156 receiving yards as the Seawolves (2-2, 1-0 Big South) routed Presbyterian (0-4, 0-2).

Marist 34, Campbell 13

In Poughkeepsie, O’Neil Anderson ran for 132 yards and one touchdown and Ryan Dinnebeil added two rushing scores to lead Marist (2-3, 1-2 Pioneer League) over Campbell (1-3, 0-2).

Hofstra 24, JMU 17

In Hempstead, N.Y., Dave Wilson caught two touchdown passes to help Hofstra (3-2, 1-1 CAA) beat James Madison (2-2, 0-1).

Bryant 6, Wagner 2

In Smithfield, R.I., Jerell Smith rushed for 178 yards and the game’s only touchdown as Bryant (3-1, 2-0 NEC) defeated Wagner (2-3, 1-1), which entered second in the nation in scoring at 41.8 points a game, but was held to 105 yards total offense.

The Seahawks took a 2-0 lead with 3:22 left in the third quarter when a snap sailed over the head of Bryant punter Tim Miscovich and went through the end zone for a safety.
