LeBron adviser at Knicks camp

SARATOGA SPRINGS — William Wesley, one of LeBron James’ advisers, attended the first day of Knicks’ training camp to monitor Eddy Curry’s comeback. Wesley, associated with Curry since the center was in seventh grade, formulated Curry’s summer weight-loss plan in Detroit.

Next year, Knicks president Donnie Walsh hopes to host “World Wide Wes,” as Wesley is known, again in Saratoga under grander circumstances — King James’ first practice as a Knick.

In the latest interview, James was asked about his Cleveland loyalty.

“My loyalty is to Akron,” James told ESPN. “I’m looking forward to this upcoming season, but I’m looking forward to the summer of 2010, too, to see what may happen. I love this city and I’ll always give back to this city no matter what my profession — if it takes me somewhere else.”
