A thief posing as a parent hit a ritzy Midtown day-care center for the second time this summer — this time swiping a laptop and an iPod from a roomful of napping kids, cops said yesterday.
He entered the Star America Preschool on Eighth Avenue at 48th Street Monday afternoon claiming to be looking for his child. He snatched the electronic goods when the teacher turned her back.
“What a sneaky bastard,” said the theft victim, Denia Sylva.
On June 29, surveillance video caught the same man asking about the school’s services and then stealing a cellphone.
