Five people in Tennessee and one in Alabama were found dead in an apparent killing spree yesterday, authorities said.
Cops were grilling Jacob Shaffer, 30, of Huntsville, Ala., about the slayings after finding him sitting on a porch in Tennessee where one of the bodies was found, but no charges had been filed, police said.
Lincoln County, Tenn., Sheriff Murray Blackwelder said the “horrendous” killings , which occurred Friday night or early yesterday, were “one of the worst crimes Lincoln County has seen.”
Police said some of the Tennessee victims, found in Fayetteville near the Alabama line, were related, but the motive for the murders was unclear.
