Thank goodness for enthusiastic, good-hearted people like Mary Murphy, who is one of the judges on “So You Think You Can Dance” (“We Love Mary . . .” June 29).
Mary is Mary, no matter who is sitting next to her, and her knowledge of dance and her kind critiques make her endearing.
My husband and I love it when she does her “Hot Tamale Train” schtick, and when fellow judge Nigel Lythgoe goes along with the showbiz grimaces.
Her caring and the show’s nurturing of the dancers make it a great summer show in what is usually a TV wasteland.
