CHICAGO — Obesity rates rose in the past year, with 23 states reporting adults are fatter now than last year, two advocacy groups said yesterday.
Two-thirds of US adults are obese or overweight, and the groups warned that the fat epidemic could derail efforts to reform the nation’s health system.
