Kate Gosselin, “Jon & Kate Plus 8” reality show star and mother of eight, has just dropped a bombshell about her troubled televised marriage — it may be headed for divorce.
The reality mom talked to People magazine about Jon — her husband and other half of the TV parenting duo — and his alleged affair with 23-year-old Deanna Hummel.
“I don’t know that we’re in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing,” she told the magazine.
Of her husband’s supposed mistress, she said “I’ve been struggling with the question of ‘Who is this person?’ for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It’s one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there’s blaring, red flashing lights.”
This news comes shortly after rumors that Jon, Kate, and their eight kids (including a set of sextuplets) might not make it through a fifth season.
In a cliffhanger season finale, right as Jon’s affair was becoming tabloid fodder, he admitted on camera, “We don’t have privacy at all… it’s tough.”
Kate did express hopes to work on the marriage, and said that she hopes they will all be “absolutely happy” again.
